Hurricane Preparedness Webinar Offered June 8 For Laurel Residents

LAUREL, MD — A hurricane preparedness webinar will be offered June 8 for Laurel residents with information shared that will help protect you, your family and property.

According to the city of Laurel, forecasters at NOAA’s Climate Prediction Center - a division of the National Weather Service - are predicting above-average hurricane activity this year. The hurricane season runs from June 1 until Nov. 30.

City officials have teamed up with NOAA and the Maryland Insurance Administration to host the virtual hurricane preparedness webinar, which begins at 5 p.m.
