Laurel Public Works Rolls Out New App

'Recycle Coach' provides information about the City's residential garbage and recycling services.

LAUREL, MD - It’s a holiday and you ask yourself, “When will Public Works be by to pick up my trash and recyclables?” We’ve got an app for that!

Laurel Mayor Craig A. Moe and Public Works Director Rob Ferree have announced the launch of the new Public Works app, “Recycle Coach.” Laurel is the first municipality on the East Coast to offer Recycle Coach to its residents.

“Recycle Coach” contains all of the information people need to know, tailored specifically to their neighborhoods, about residential garbage and recycling services.

The app is compatible with Android, IPhone and IPad. If you don’t have a smartphone, don’t worry – it also has a website plug-in that allows the same features you can use right on your PC desktop so you can get garbage, recycling, special waste collection details and more at your fingertips, anytime you want them.
The Public Works “Recycle Coach” app also includes a search function that lets residents quickly find information about what to do with a regular or out-of-the-ordinary item, plus there are tips for reducing and recycling waste in apartment and condo buildings.
