• NASA Saw an Interstellar Comet From a Viewpoint No One Expected (scitechdaily.com) — Laurel’s own Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Lab helped develop NASA’s Europa Clipper mission, which just captured a rare, behind-the-tails view of an interstellar comet using its ultraviolet spectrograph. Those observations are giving scientists fresh clues about the comet’s composition, outgassing, and possible origins in another star system, linking cutting-edge space research directly back to work done in Laurel.
