Residences at Vantage Point is hosting the second event in its Arts & Culture Collective Spring series focusing on “The Creative Process” with poet Karen Arnold on Tuesday, April 23, from 7-8 p.m., in the Vantage Point auditorium. The event is free. Registration is required.

The Arts & Culture Collective was established by the Residences at Vantage Point in response to community members’ interest in hosting public activities that engage and educate as well as entertain. This Spring, a musician, a poet and a teaching artist are discussing the process by which they develop and execute their creative output.

Poet Karen Arnold is next on stage April 23, to read her work and discuss the power of poetry. Arnold spent 10 years as Poet-in-Residence at Montpelier Cultural Arts Center in Laurel and served as creator and moderator of veterans’ reading and discussion groups sponsored by Maryland Humanities, Baltimore libraries and cultural centers. She has taught at universities in the US, Sweden and Norway. She is the author of Border Crossings and Looking for Disappearance.
