  • Click on the Government tab and find Public Works
  • On the Left side of the Public Works page click on Recycling Competition
  • Find out which neighborhood you’re in, and get busy recycling.

During the month of April, the neighborhood that puts out the most recyclables wins.

Check the DPW website at the beginning of the month to find out who won the previous month.
****The first ten residents from the winning neighborhood who call DPW at 301-725-0088 will receive $10 off a bulk pickup.

Also, don’t forget about the Recycle Coach App. You can access it from your PC or download it onto your smartphone. Here’s the link: https://www.cityoflaurel.org/d...

That’s the best way to stay on top of the monthly contest and other recycling events, like the City’s electronic recycling event on Saturday, April 22nd from 8 to Noon, City of Laurel DPW at 305-307 First Street in Laurel.

By the way, we unofficially tested the competition score keeping in March, and the blue and orange neighborhoods recycled the most. Good job neighbors!
