• FCPS and Middletown Fire and Rescue partner for student meal prep (theriver953.com) — Student meals at Middletown Elementary will keep flowing smoothly during a five‑month construction project in 2028, thanks to a new partnership with the Middletown Volunteer Fire and Rescue Company. FCPS will use the fire station’s kitchen as a temporary meal prep site, a move leaders say maintains hot, nutritious meals while saving the district money.
