Montgomery Village Teen Missing Since Jan. 8: Police

MONTGOMERY VILLAGE, MD — The Montgomery County Police Department is asking for the public's help in finding a missing Montgomery Village teenager.

Kayla Andrea Sanchez, 13, of Little Pond Place, was last seen leaving her home on Friday afternoon. She told her family she was going to a friend's house, according to police.

Investigators describe Sanchez as a 5-foot-1, 130-pound female with brown eyes and shoulder-length red and blonde hair. Police say she was last seen wearing a pink sweatshirt and black leggings.

Sanchez has been texting her family but will not disclose her whereabouts, authorities said.
