These Technology Innovation Fund and Founders Fund awards aim to help small, high-potential firms grow locally, backing everything from new immunotherapies to advanced space microelectronics. 
• Whitman senior sets sights on Broadway in national theater contest (thebaltimorebanner.com) — A Walt Whitman High School senior who recently starred in a production at Strathmore in North Bethesda is now a national finalist in Broadway World’s Next on Stage competition. Ryan Sawyer Robbins is vying for votes through Wednesday, with a chance to perform in New York and get feedback from acclaimed Broadway professionals if he makes the top three.
