5 Baltimore Coffee Shops Become Luke's Diner Wednesday in Gilmore Girls Revival Promo

A handful of coffee shops in Charm City are part of a special Netflix promotion related to Gilmore Girls resurgence.

BALTIMORE, MD — Fans preparing for the "Gilmore Girls" Netflix revival this fall will get to grab a cup of coffee on Wednesday, Oct. 5, at one of more than 200 pop-up coffee shops nationwide inspired by the show's most recognizable set: Luke's Diner. Six of the shops are in Maryland.

In the show's initial seven-year run, you'd often find Lorelai and Rory Gilmore talking about their lives, loves and pop culture — in lightning-fast dialogue — while sipping coffee in the window of the corner diner in the small town of Stars Hollow.

The show has become a cult classic as it grows new fans for those early episodes on Netflix. Next month, the streaming service will release four new extended episodes.
