Lytos Vodka Expands Sales into Montgomery County ABS Stores
Lytos, a Baltimore-Based Vodka Company is now sold in bars, restaurants, and liquor stores throughout Maryland, Delaware and Washington D.C.
Lytos, a Baltimore-based company that specializes in making a patent pending, gluten-free premium vodka with added electrolytes, announced today it has expanded sales into all ABS liquor stores in Montgomery County, Maryland.
Unlike other counties in Maryland, Montgomery County has an Alcohol Beverage Services division of its local government. This group is responsible for the regulation and purchasing of alcohol throughout the county. By being cleared by the ABS, Lytos will now be sold in 26 county-owned stores.

Lytos, pronounced ‘light-toes’, is manufactured in Columbia, Md. First sold in greater Baltimore and the Eastern Shore, this unique vodka is now sold in bars and restaurants in Washington D.C. and Delaware with an aim to expand sales into other states.
“Being able to sell our product in Montgomery County is a major win in our expansion throughout Maryland,” Fanshawe said. “Montgomery County presents an interesting opportunity for growth as they are the largest county in Maryland, serving well over a million residents.”

Lytos Vodka is now sold in roughly 450 bars, restaurants, and liquor stores throughout Maryland, Washington D.C., and Delaware. Lytos is the first ever vodka marketed and sold with added electrolytes.
Recognizing that traditional spirits tend to be harsh on the palate, Lytos’ mission is to bring consumers a spirit that is easy to drink, enjoyable, while providing a drink for those needing a distilled spirit alternative.
Lytos is distilled from domestically sourced-farm fresh corn, making it gluten-free. It is then infused with salt, potassium, and phosphorus, the compounds of electrolytes found in sophisticated sports drinks but without the added sugars.
Fanshawe, who grew up in Severna Park, is a Howard County resident and Towson University graduate.
