Northern District Homicides Match Previous Year’s Pace
But midway through 2013 most crime is down compared to 2012's mid-year figures.
After a 75 percent spike in homicides last year, the Northern District is keeping pace with the number of killings in the district.
According to the Comstat figures through June 29, there have been 12 homicides so far this year and there were 12 during the same time period last year.
The number of other crimes is generally lower than they were at the same time period the previous year. There have been 21 fewer robberies, 56 fewer aggravated assaults and 79 fewer burglaries in the district so far this year.Find out what's happening in North Baltimorefor free with the latest updates from Patch.
