Obama Sends Staffers to Freddie Gray Funeral
Three representatives will attend service on behalf of President of the United States.

President Barack Obama is sending three representatives to attend the funeral for Freddie Gray on Monday in Baltimore, according to the Associated Press.
Gray is the 25-year-old who died in police custody April 19 from a spinal cord injury after an April 12 arrest that has prompted investigations by Baltimore Police, the U.S. Department of Justice and an independent group.
Brockerick Johnson, who chairs My Brother’s Keeper, a White House task force designed to bridge the opportunity gap for young black men, is scheduled to attend the funeral for Gray on Monday, as well as two other aides, according to the Associated Press.

“We (NSBC) open our doors to the Gray Family and our community that all might find comfort & strength in God,” the church posted on Facebook.
The funeral follows a week of protests and a wake held Sunday at Vaughn G. Greene East Funeral Home at 4905 York Road, where mourners paid their respects during an open casket visitation. Gray was reportedly wearing a white Los Angeles Dodgers hat, a white shirt, black pants and white sneakers, with a pillow inside the casket that said “Peace, Y’all.”
