Revival Announces Slate of Self-Care Summer Programming
Hotel-wide initiative includes vendor pop-ups, non-alcoholic cocktails and complimentary yoga classes, intended to remind community members

BALTIMORE – Between "Hot Girl Summer" and "Hot Vax Summer," keeping up with warm weather trends can be challenging. Revival, an award-winning JdV by Hyatt Hotel, is offering a solution to these dilemmas in the form of Self-Care Summer, a seasonal schedule of programming tailored to improve the wellbeing of community members and guests.
From the Corner Store Gift Shop in the lobby to Topside and the Garden Room 15 flights above, Self-Care Summer takes an approach to mindfulness that embraces the entire hotel. Events and programs include:
Complimentary Yoga Classes

- Details: Michelle Stafford, also known as Diva Yogi, will offer a free yoga class to a maximum of 15 people. A hydration station will be available.
- Location: Bailiwick Event Space
- Time: 12-1 p.m. on Friday, July 2
- Cost: Free – open to 15 people maximum; attendees can register via Eventbrite
Corner Store Gift Shop’s Self-Care Packages and Pop-Ups
- Details: Staff at Revival’s Corner Store Gift Shop have curated self-care packages using hygiene products from three local brands they carry, all of which are women-owned businesses – Hon’s Honey, Shea Radiance and Knit Soy Metal. In addition, on the first Friday of each month, a different local vendor – from clothiers to candlemakers – will host a pop-up shop in the space.

- Time: Self-care packages are available throughout the summer; pop-ups occur 5-8 p.m. on the first Friday of each month (August 5 and September 2)

Dry July

- Details: Revival is drawing attention to its “Zero Proof, Zero Judgement” cocktail menu with “Dry July.” This year, Topside’s Zero Proof, Zero Judgement menu, filled with hand crafted spirit-free cocktail options from Bar Manager Anna Welker, was adopted by Hyatt hotels across the United States. To celebrate the warm weather and the seasonal ingredients and flavors, Anna and the team at Topside have added new beverages to the menu, including the “Hummingbird” cocktail.

Learn to Say “No” and Then Do Nothing
- Details: Attendees select cards that have random requests on them. When the host, Jason Bass, reads the requests out loud, the group has to say “no!” Group members, made to feel blissful and empowered from the process, are then instructed to do absolutely nothing for an hour.
- Location: West Mount Vernon Place – attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and/or blankets; in case of rain, the workshop will be held inside Revival
- Time: 6-7 p.m. on Tuesday, July 19
- Cost: Free; attendees can register via Eventbrite
Plant & Sip
- Details: An array of plants will be on display and available to take home with easy-to-follow care instructions. Stem & Vine Owner Quincy Goldsmith will be onsite to educate floral fanatics and encourage connection among Baltimore’s local community of house plant lovers. An all-cash bar will be available onsite.
- Location: Garden Room
- Time: 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, July 28
- Cost: $25/person – includes a house plant, care instructions and information on the plant’s cultural relevance; attendees can register via Eventbrite
“This programming is not only eclectic and entertaining, but it reminds us of the importance of self-care,” said Jason Bass, director of culture and impact at Revival. “As the summer months bring life to a standstill, we hope to promote mindfulness practices that’ll create a more conscientious community.”
