Santé Culinary Fundraiser Taking Place May 10

Signature event supports National Kidney Foundation's patient services, education & research efforts

COCKEYSVILLE, Md. – Baltimore’s premier food and beverage event is back! The National Kidney Foundation Serving Maryland and Delaware (NKFMDDE) will host its signature Santé: Giving Back for Kidney Disease fundraiser, Wednesday, May 10, from 6 to 9 p.m., at the Baltimore Museum of Industry.

This business casual evening with tastings from a variety of restaurants and caterers, paired with enticing beverages including: Arepi, B'More Made with Pride Kitchen, Boordy Vineyards, Classic Catering, Farmacy Brewing, Iron Bridge Wine Company, Log Cabin Chocolates, Lord Baltimore Hotel, Mamma Mish's Dishes, Muddy Tea, Natasha's Just Brittle, Raspberry Moments, Sagamore Spirit, Sandy Bottom Sparkling Rum Cocktails, State Fare, The Beaumont, The Local, Tito's Vodka, Union Craft Brewing and Zeffert & Gold (as managing caterer ).

Guests will be able to vote for their favorite vendor in the People’s Choice competition and secret judges will select the Best Dish, Best Beverage, Best Dessert and Best Display. Adding to the fun will be a photo booth, raffles and a silent auction featuring sports memorabilia, dining, entertainment, local art, spa, health and fitness and vacation packages.

Event co-chairs are Sumeska Thavarajah, MD (assistant professor of medicine – Division of Nephrology at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center and NKFMDDE advisory board member) and Kathleen Methric (strategic marketing liaison, Gout Business Unit at Horizon Therapeutics and NKFMDDE advisory board member). Emcee is Marc Clarke (Fox 45 BMORE Lifestyle host and Fox 45 Morning News reporter).

Event proceeds will support NKFMDDE’s local patient emergency assistance program, providing essentials such as transportation, rent/utility relief, food and other life essentials that we take for granted. Dollars raised also help fund vital research that helps advance knowledge about chronic kidney disease, treatment and patient outcomes.

“Santé is a delicious and fun night out that supports families affected by a major health crisis in our community,” said NKMDDDE Executive Director Pattie Dash. “This event is critical to raising the funds necessary to ensure that people impacted by chronic kidney disease receive support to live a better quality of life while fighting this debilitating disease.”
