Schools Delayed in Baltimore on Thursday
With the potential for icy roads Thursday morning, schools are opening late in Baltimore City.

Schools and offices will open two hours later than usual on Thursday, Jan. 21, according to Baltimore City Public Schools.
- Morning prekindergarten is canceled.
- Essential personnel should report on time, officials said.
- High schools on adjusted schedule for midterms will still open for exams on a two-hour delay and close 1.5 hours before regular dismissal.
- Bay-Brook EM School will be closed Jan. 21 and Friday, Jan. 22, for building repairs. Staff should report to the Professional Development Center.
Roads may be icy Thursday morning due to below-freezing temperatures and light snowfall Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service.
Baltimore City received 0.5 inch of snow in Morrell Park, based on preliminary data submitted to the weather service.

Drivers are advised to take it slow on ice and snow, being especially careful on bridges, overpasses and shady areas where ice may have developed as well as parking lots and untreated roads.
