VIDEO: Mom's Response To Child In The Baltimore Riots Goes Viral

Baltimore Police asked parents to find their children Monday and bring them home after chaotic activity erupted from a mob that included many juveniles near Mondawmin Mall.

One mother was filmed literally pulling her child from the fray on this video that has since gone viral. She scolded him for being part of this “dumb [expletive],” demanding that he “get over here” and take his mask off.

It was the start of what turned out to be hours of rioting that left parts of the city charred and tattered by Tuesday.

“I wish I had more parents that took charge of the kids out there tonight,” Baltimore Police Commissioner Anthony Batts said.

In the wake of the violence, a citywide curfew is in effect from Tuesday, April 28, to Tuesday, May 5.
