The kids and I struggled, but we made it through with some savings and some help from others. It was time for a change. ● I became an independent agent. A woman was sleeping in her car near the Guilford Reservoir when a robber tried to break in and steal her purse. According to a police report, the woman was asleep in her parked car at about 3:20 p.m., Oct. 9 in the 4600 block of Millbrook Road when she felt someone rocking the car. The robber then broke the window of the car and tried to grab the woman's purse. She was able to hold onto the purse and the robber then ran away.

She was able to fend off the robber who was trying to steal her purse.
