1. As temperatures drop the persistent rain stays the same. Today's high will be around 55 degrees with rain showers periodically throughout the day.

2. Montgomery County Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Joshua Starr hosts a "Listen and Learn" event at Watkins Mill High School tonight in Gaithersburg. If you can't make the event, another will take place at on Oct. 19.
