Gaithersburg Bank Robbed Friday

Police: Robber still at large

Capital One Bank in Gaithersburg was robbed Friday morning, Montgomery County Police said in a news release.

The robbery happened shortly after 9 a.m. at the 12 Bureau Drive branch, where police said a man slid a note to a teller demanding money.

Police released surveillance photos of the robber Friday afternoon with hopes of identifying a suspect.

The robber is described as a black male, 5-feet, 11-inches tall, and weighing between 240 to 250 pounds. Police said he wore a black hat, a gray zip-up sweatshirt and gray sweatpants.
