Patch GOTW: Wootton-Whitman Hockey Wins First Poll

Patriots supporters lead a late charge, helping the varsity hockey game against Whitman win the GOTW poll by a wide margin.

In the first North Potomac-Darnestown Patch Game of the Week for the winter season, a late week surge helped clinch the Wootton Patriots varsity hockey team's game against Whitman as our selection.

The game -- Dec. 16 at 8:50 p.m. at Rockville Ice Arena -- trailed Quince Orchard's varsity basketball matchup with Blake by three percent the morning of Dec. 8 before running away with the vote.
