Photos: Anti-Domestic Violence Magazine Launches Nov. 19
The Universities at Shady Grove hosted the ribbon-cutting event for We Refuse, Inc., the first magazine publication advocating against domestic violence through stories of survivors.
We Refuse Inc., -- the first magazine publication advocating against domestic violence through stories of survivors -- was launched by President and CEO Lilian Agwu-Ibeh on Saturday, Nov. 19, 2011.
Agwu-Ibeh was joined by council member Phil Andrews, Dr. Blair Hayes, Lesley Stein, and other guests for the ribbon cutting event.
A victim and survivor of domestic abuse and physical violence and abuse from her
husband, Agwu-Ibeh saw a need to create a publication that would seek out and
provide support to help other women who suffer from domestic abuse.
