2 Charged in Theft of ATV from Severn Home

Police said the men stole the the vehicle and took it to a house in Brooklyn. They were apprehended less than five hours later.

Anne Arundel County police have arrested two men in connection to the theft of an all-terrain vehicle from a home in Severn.

Police said they were notified of the theft at about 8 a.m. Sunday morning when they spoke to the owner at the 300 block of Council Oak Drive. The owner told police that the ATV was valued at about $8,000, and had been stolen overnight. 

Officers investigated and found evidence leading them to the 400 block of Audrey Avenue in Brooklyn, where the ATV was found. Two men were arrested at the scene, about four-and-a-half hours after the theft was reported. 

Police identified the suspects as Kenneth Lee Highkin, 21, of Baltimore and Christopher Michael White, 23, of Glen Burnie. Both were charged with 4th-degree burglary and felony theft.
