A Sign of Fall as Corn Maze Opens in Gambrills

A tour of the 11-acre corn maze at Maryland Sunrise Farm.

The corn maze at The MD Sunrise Farm opened this past weekend, challenging visitors to "Find the Scarecrow" in an 11-acre field of corn.

The corn maze is in its 9th year at its spot on Annapolis Road in Gambrills. This year, the corn field is carved into a design featuring a scarecrow, barn, tractor and cow.

The maze staff said it takes about 40 minutes to navigate through, and there are markers to find along the way.

A bridge in the middle of the maze allows visitors to get an overhead view.

There is also a smaller maze for younger children, plus hay and wagon rides and other activities.

The maze is open on Saturdays from 10 a.m.-7 p.m. and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. through November 3. Cost is $10 for adults, and kids from 5-12 are $5. Anyone under 5 is free and military members get a $1 discount.
