Officers said they found the injured teenager with multiple gunshot wounds and immediately started medical aid.

WJZ said authorities found the boy nearly a block away.

This appears to be a targeted shooting, Lt. A.J. Gardiner of the Anne Arundel County Police Department told WJZ.

"I think it's important that people step up. We have some violence on our streets stemming from the inability to solve a dispute in a more adult manner," Gardiner told WJZ.

Officers are still investigating.

Authorities asked anybody with information to call (410) 222-6155. Tipsters can stay anonymous by dialing (410) 222-4700.
