Brush Fire Sunday Shuts Down North Patuxent
The road was closed for about 90 minutes. There were no reports of injuries.

North Patuxent Road was closed to traffic on Sunday morning due to a brush fire in the area.
The Anne Arundel County Fire Department responded to the fire in a wooded area of North Patuxent near Delray Court at about 8 a.m. Sunday. Department spokesman Keith Swindle said the road was closed for about 90 minutes.Â
Swindle said investigators were not called to the scene, because there was no reason to suspect the fire was intentionally set. There were no reports of injuries.Â
The brush fire came on the same day as a fire that tore through a home in Piney Orchard, and one week after a fire burnt a vacant home off Old Waugh Chapel Road.Â
A vacant home on Delray Court also burned in a fire in June of 2012.Â
