Celebrate Cinco de Mayo in Odenton

Here's where to go to enjoy some Mexican fun nearby.

Cinco de Mayo is Sunday, and there are plenty of places locally to celebrate your Mexican pride.

Here are some suggestions for having a great time right near Odenton.

  • Knights of Columbus Celebration - The Ladies Auxiliary will have a special celebration on Saturday from 6:30-10:30 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus building at 1381 Becknel Ave. in Odenton. There will be plenty of Mexican food and dancing. Cost is $13 for singles, $25 per couple.
  • Pachanga Grill - An Odenton institution, Pachanga is known for its own special punch, margaritas and great fajitas. On Saturday and Sunday, the restaurant will have an outside tent with live music, plus food and drink specials. They'll even feed you tacos while you wait to be seated.
  • Rinconcito Mexicano - The new restaurant in Odenton has been well-received since moving in last year. It will celebrate Cinco de Mayo with live music and a 6 for $5 special on Coronas.
  • Chipotle - locations with liquor licenses now sell margaritas just in time for Cinco de Mayo. Unfortunately, this does not include the location in Gambrills. But you can still celebrate with an overstuffed burrito.
