Children's Holiday Party to Bring Cheer at Shady Side Museum
The Captain Avery Museum near Edgewater invites kids and parents to its holiday party on Dec. 7.

Shady Side’s Captain Avery Museum will host its annual Children’s Holiday and Tree Trimming Party next month, promising food, fun, and holiday cheer.
Lasting from 1 to 3 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 7, the event will include holiday crafts, goodies and tasty treats like hot cider and hot chocolate for all to enjoy.
Santa will even stop by the party from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. to pass out gifts to all young children.

Admission to the holiday party is free, but donations to benefit the museum are accepted.
The Captain Avery Museum is located in the historic 1859 home of Salem Avery at 1418 EW Shady Side Road and is open most Sundays from 1 to 4 p.m. from April through November.
