Cocaine, Mushrooms, Scale Found During Severn Traffic Stop: Police

SEVERN, MD — A Virginia man is facing drug charges following a traffic stop Thursday in Severn, according to the Anne Arundel County Police Department.

Around 3:05 p.m., an officer attempted to pull over a driver on Reece Road and Pioneer Drive in Severn after he spotted suspected marijuana inside the vehicle, police said.

According to police, the driver, Shadeed Williams, 28, of Suffolk, exited the vehicle and fled on foot into a wooded area.

Police said other officers responded to assist with a search and eventually located Williams, who was found to be in possession of:

  • approximately 276 grams of suspected marijuana packaged in 40 individual bags
  • approximately 2.7 grams of suspected cocaine packaged in five individual bags
  • approximately 4.72 grams of suspected Psilocybin mushrooms
  • a digital scale

Williams was arrested and booked into the Anne Arundel County detention center.
