Cyber Museum Could Get $1 Million in Latest Budget
Gov. Martin O'Malley has proposed contributing $1 million toward a new cybersecurity museum and conference center near the National Security Agency.

Efforts to build a new cyber museum near Fort Meade could get a boost under the latest budget proposal from Gov. Martin O'Malley.
O'Malley's budget proposal for fiscal year 2015 $1 million towards the construction of a new National Cryptological Museum.
The funds would be included in $18 million set aside for economic development, tourism and the arts.
The National Cryptologic Museum Foundation has been spearheading efforts to build the new museum along with a conference center, designed to honor the cyber and cryptological community. It recently got a $500,000 matching grant from the state. The total cost of the museum, however, is estimated at more than $50 million.
