
The Meade High Mustangs had an easy time Friday as they topped South River 45-22 behind 178 yards rushing by Kyle Evans.Â
The game was scoreless after the first quarter, but Meade outscored the Seahawks 23-7 in the second, paced by an 89-yard touchdown reception by David Richards.Â
Meade quarterback Marcus Smith went 10 for 18 with 177 yards passing and two scores. Evans added a 96-yard run late in the fourth. Â
Meade is now 2-0 on the year and faces Old Mill next. South River (1-1)Â plays at Broadneck.Â
