Fort Meade to Host Resiliency Expo

Details about the wellness fair appear in the latest version of 'Meade Week' from the Fort Meade public affairs office

Fort Meade will host wellness expo later this week as part of its "101 Critical Days of Summer" safety campaign.

The installation will hold the Safety, Wellness and Resiliency Fair on May 23, with vendors and displays on topics such as motorcycle safety and fire prevention. The event is open to the public and will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Fort Meade Pavilion.

"The prolonged hours of daylight encourages us to jam as many of our favorite pastimes into our day as possible and more activities means more potential for accidents," the Army said on its website. "While we enjoy these lazy, hazy, crazy days of summer, often we fail to recognize the risks associated with our favorite off-duty activities."
