ODENTON, MD — A fundraiser has collected over $76,000 for a family whose Odenton home burned last week, a report said.

"Their home and all vehicles caught on fire, leaving them in urgent need of shelter, clothes, and funds until insurance assists," fundraiser organizer and Odenton resident June Bailey wrote in the GoFundMe. "The Browns are a remarkable family, known for their generosity and kindness."

The campaign had collected $76,244 by 3:15 p.m. Monday. Donations are still being accepted at this link.

The Anne Arundel County Fire Department and Fort Meade Fire & Emergency Services immediately began to search the house while simultaneously extinguishing the flames.

Investigators said the blaze was accidental and started in the garage. The cause is still undetermined, however, because of the extensive damage.
