Local Teams Victorious in Football Openers

Arundel, Meade and Old Mill all won their first games of the season Friday night.

It was a great night for high school football teams in West Anne Arundel County, as the three local high schools each won their season openers. 

Meade, the defending regional champ, topped Glen Burnie 23-0 behind 500 yards of total offense. Kyle Evans had 169 yards rushing and a touchdown. 

Arundel High beat Severna Park 38-14, while Old Mill topped Broadneck, 35-21.
