LINTHICUM, MD — Animal control is looking for the owner of an injured dog who was found recently in Anne Arundel County.

A good samaritan spotted the pooch Wednesday near Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport in Linthicum.

Anne Arundel County Animal Care & Control veterinarians are now taking care of the female dog. The agency thinks she was hit by a car.

"Our goal is to find her family ASAP," animal control said on Facebook.

Animal control asked anybody with information to call (410) 222-3939 or email ACCFrontDesk@aacounty.org. Leaders also urged residents to share this Facebook post.
