Magazine Highlights Odenton Mom, Surrogacy Veteran
Kathy Powers is carrying triplets. Washingtonian magazine reports it is her fourth pregnancy as a surrogate, and she couldn't be happier.

More than two years ago, Patch profiled Kathy McNamara Powers, an Odenton resident who had successfully carried multiple babies conceived by other couples.
Powers, who had two children of her own, found that she truly enjoyed being pregnant, and has offered her services as a surrogate.
Washingtonian magazine caught up with Powers and took note of her giving birth to triplets that are not her own. (Note: The magazine said she was currently pregnant, but she actually gave birth to the triplets last October.)
In the article, Powers explains why she has decided to continue carrying children on behalf of others. In short, she said, she simply enjoys being pregnant.
"My hormones are perfectly, 100 percent in line with the universe when I’m pregnant,” she said, “I’m the happiest I ever can be in life.”
