Mega Millions Winning Numbers: Somebody in Maryland is Suddenly Very Rich

Somebody who bought a Mega Millions lottery ticket in Maryland is a very rich person.

Lottery officials said one ticket was sold somewhere in Charles County in southern Maryland, one of two winning tickets for the $400 million drawing. The second ticket was sold in Florida, and the two winners will split the prize.

The winning numbers were 11, 19, 24, 33 and 51, and a Mega Ball of 7.

The lottery jackpot was the seventh largest in U.S. history and the third largest Mega Millions jackpot ever won. The largest jackpot on record was $656 million on March 30, 2012. One of those tickets was also sold in Maryland.

Eight other tickets, including one sold in Maryland, matched all five numbers in the drawing except the Mega Ball and will claim a $1 million prize. T
