Odenton Fire Company Gets $34,000 Grant
Five other county fire stations benefitted from more than $400,000 in total grant money from the state.

Six volunteer fire companies in Anne Arundel County received thousands of dollars in state grants to pay for engines, command vehicles and rescue tools.
County Executive Laura Neuman and Fire Chief Michael Cox presented $408,000 in grant money, including $34,635 to the Odenton Volunteer Fire Company. The money from the 506 Grant Program stems from vehicle registration fees and is allocated to fire and emergency personnel.
Odenton's grant money will be used for rescue equipment.

Earleigh Heights VFD- $266,500 for a New Fire Engine
Orchard Beach VFD- $35,049 for a New Command Vehicle
Riviera Beach VFD- $33,058 for a New Command Vehicle
Ferndale VFD- $33,058 for a New Command Vehicle
Arundel VFD- $5,700 for Rescue Tools
