Odenton Snow Update: Morning Edition

Odenton waits for the largest snowfall of the season.

A sizable winter storm is heading our way in Odenton. We'll offer updates on conditions, closings, and other important information throughout the day. Feel free to use the comments to offer updates from your specific neighborhood. 

  • Snow forecast totals increased overnight, with the National Weather Service now predicting between 6 and 10 inches in Maryland. AccuWeather is predicting between 4 and 8 inches in Odenton. There is a winter storm warning in effect until 11 p.m.
  • Snow is expected to roll in at about 9 a.m. and continue throughout the day, with the heaviest snow coming in the midday and afternoon. 
  • While it may not seem cold enough for snow now, temperatures are expected to drop to about 20 degrees this afternoon, with wind chills near zero. 
  • A warming station is open at the Western District Police Station, 8273 Telegraph Road, Odenton.
  • As we reported, Anne Arundel County Schools are closed, along with senior centers. 
  • The federal government is closed, but Fort Meade will close at noon. 
  • Libraries will close at noon.
  • There are no reported closures of businesses.
