Police: Drugs, Handgun Found After Traffic Stop

Police said two men had an handgun in their car illegally, and were in possession of Oxycodone.

Anne Arundel County police arrested two men after reportedly discovering drugs and a handgun in their car during a traffic stop. 

Police said officers pulled over a vehicle at 2:45 p.m. Monday near Jacobs Road and Pioneer Drive in Severn, and developed probable cause to search it. 

According to police, the officers found an labeled pill bottle with 14 and one-half oxycodone pills, worth about $350. They also found a .25 caliber handgun with two bullets in the magazine and one in the chamber, police said.

Police charged Roy Rucker, 32, of Severn and Juan Goldwire, 31, of District Heights, MD, with illegal possession of a handgun, drug possession and other related charges.
