Police Investigate Pair of Attempted Morning Robberies
Teenagers reported two separate cases of men trying to take money and other items before 7 a.m. Tuesday.

Anne Arundel County police are investigating reports of two attempted robberies in Severn Tuesday morning.
The first incident took place at about 6:30 a.m. near Indian Drive at Flintlock Court. A 17-year-old boy told police he was approached by a man with a handgun, who forced him to empty his pockets. The suspect ran away before taking anything.
In the second case, a 15-year-old boy said he was robbed at about 6:50 a.m. while waiting for a school bus at the 8000 block of Pioneer Drive. The suspect demanded money and other items, but the victim said he had nothing on him. The suspect ran away without taking anything.

In both cases, the victims did not report the incidents to police until Tuesday afternoon.
