Police Respond to Robbery on Averill Court

Anne Arundel County police responded Tuesday evening to a report of a robbery of a man who was walking to his Severn home. 

Police said they responded shortly before 9 p.m. and spoke to a man at the 8200 block of Averill Court. The man told police that he had parked his vehicle on Averill Court when another man came up and punched him, then took his wallet and cell phone. 

Police said the suspect ran away and may have then met with three other people who also fled. Officers searched the area with the help of a K9 unit but did not find the suspects.

The victim declined medical treatment. Police did not offer a detailed description of the suspects.
