Santa (Thrice!) and More Top This Week's Events

There's plenty going on this week, with many events featuring a holiday flair. Here are five happenings of note. Be sure to check the Patch events calendar for more. 


Santa Visits Kids at the Royal Inn 
When: Monday, 5-7 p.m.
Where: Royal Inn, Annapolis Road, Odenton
Details: With help from local police and firefighters, Santa Claus will help bring a bright holiday season with a special party for kids living in the Royal Inn.

County Executive Holiday Open House
When: Wednesday, 4-6 p.m.
Where: Arundel Center, 44 Calvert St., Annapolis
Details: County Executive Laura Neuman will hold an open house featuring music from local students and the Opportunity Builders' Inc. Choir. Donations of non-perishable food will be accepted. 

Hearing on North Patuxent Townhomes
When: Wednesday, 6:30 p.m.
Where: 44 Calvert St., Annapolis
Details: A continuation of the hearing before the board of appeals regarding a proposed townhouse development on North Patuxent Avenue. 

Waugh Chapel Elementary PTA Holiday Fair
When: Saturday, 9 a.m.
Where: Waugh Chapel Elementary
Details: It's always one of the biggest holiday events in the area. Lots of crafters and vendors on display, with a silent auction, pictures with Santa and other fun.

Tree Lighting at Babington Green
When: Saturday, 5 p.m. 
Where: Corner of Odenton Road and Piney Orchard Parkway
Details: It's Odenton's 8th annual tree lighting event, featuring a visit from Santa Claus and some free cookies and cider.
