School, Obamacare, Laughter and Autism

Here's a look at some of the big events coming up in the Odenton area this week.


Back to School! - If your kid is in school, you've had this day on your calendar for a while. And for the rest of you, look out for more school buses on the roads. 

Donna Edwards Talks Obamacare - The congresswoman will speak to members of the West Anne Arundel County Chamber of Commerce on Tuesday morning to tout tax credits tied to the Affordable Care Act. Meeting is at 8 a.m. Tuesday at J. King's Restaurant in Gambrills. 

Odenton Town Center Plan Oversight Committee Meeting - Hear news about a possible new restaurant coming to town, and other plans for Odenton. Meeting is at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Western District Police Station, 8273 Telegraph Road. 

Introduction to Comedy Workshop - The West County Area Library will host this unique session featuring Matt Kaiser, who has Asperger's Syndrome but is sharing his comedic talents. Sessions from 1-2 p.m. and 2:30-3:30 p.m.. Cost is $25. 

Arundel Football Scrimmage - The Wildcats take on Mount St. Joseph's in a test game before the regular season begins next week. Saturday, 10 a.m. at Carroll Field.
