School Schedule Adjusted For Jan. 9 In Anne Arundel County Due To Snow

With some neighborhood roads still icy, Anne Arundel County schools changed their schedule for Thursday, Jan. 9.

ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, MD — Anne Arundel County Public Schools will open two hours late on Thursday, as some neighborhood roads are still slippery from this week's snowstorm.

Officials re-evaluated the decision Thursday morning and confirmed that schools will still be delayed.

Anne Arundel County schools were also closed Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

Thursday won't have morning half-day ECI classes. Morning sessions at the Centers of Applied Technology North and South are also canceled.

"Families transporting students to school and those whose students walk to school should allow additional time and utilize extreme caution," AACPS said in a Facebook post, announcing the news Wednesday at 4:30 p.m.
