These Guys Can Still Play! Arundel Soccer Alumni Face Off
Players gathered Monday for the second annual alumni game, dedicated to a former teammate lost in an accident last month.
Some of the best soccer players from Arundel High's present and past took to the pitch Monday for the annual green-white game and an alumni match.
Spectators included parents, friends and even former head coach Nick Jauschnegg, who retired after the 2011 season.Â
Jauschnegg chuckled when asked if he was tempted to get out there and offer some instruction to his former players.
"It crosses my mind sometimes," he said.
Monday's alumni game was dedicated to Nick Finnegan, a former Arundel player who died in a motorcycle accident last month.Â
"He was a very good player, a starter for a couple years," Jauschnegg said. "He was one of the leaders on that particular team."
