This Weekend Packed With Community Events

From fall festivals to family carnivals, there are plenty of options this weekend.

Odenton Day - Saturday, 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. at the Odenton Volunteer Fire Company. This is the community's marquee event, featuring a community fair inside the fire hall. There will be live entertainment, free food and free tours of the Odenton Historic District. The fire department will also be on hand with demonstrations. It's also not too late to sign up for the 5k run or 10k bike ride.

Piney Orchard Community Yard Sale - Saturday, 8 a.m. - noon at the community center. This is one of the biggest sales of the year. Look for booths from the MOMS Club and the Piney Orchard Activities Committee.

School of the Incarnation Family Fun Carnival - Saturday, 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. There will be tons of rides, including a zip line, plus scarecrow making and pumpkin painting. Attendees can win a free baked good in the "cakewalk." A wristband for unlimited rides cost $25. 

Toys for Tots Motorcycle Run - Saturday, 9 a.m., Fort Meade Pavilion. Bikers will start at the First Christian Community Church of Annapolis, leaving at 10:15 a.m. They will get a police escort and travel 18 miles, arriving at Fort Meade by 11:45 a.m. There will be entertainment for riders and other members of the community. The cost to register for the event is one unwrapped toy. 

Flea Market at First Evangelical Lutheran Church - Saturday, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Support the church's Ladies Auxiliary. Get a hot dog lunch, buy a bakes good and find some treasures. 

Arundel Volunteer Fire Department Rescue Run - Saturday, 8 a.m. at Crofton Country Club. Support your local firefighters by signing up for this 5k/10k event. Cost is $40. Register at Arundelfire.com

Quilt Show at St. Paul's Lutheran Church - Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Support the St. Paul's quilters in their efforts to raise money for the church's mission work. 

Fall Festival and Car Show at Nichols-Bethel -  Sunday, 12:15 - 2 p.m. Enjoy some bobbing for apples, pumpkin painting and a life-sized Scrabble board. In addition, there will be trophies awarded for the best cars on display.
