Amber Alert Canceled, Boy's Father In Custody: MD State Police
The Carroll County State's Attorney's Office is handling charges in the case, according to Maryland State Police.

CARROLL COUNTY, MD — Maryland State Police canceled an Amber alert that was issued Monday afternoon for a boy in Carroll County.
Maxx Riley Geiger, 12, and his father have been found unharmed, police reported at 11 a.m. Tuesday.
Before then, authorities said Geiger was last physically seen in Hampstead on Friday and may be in the Westminster area. Police said they may be in a black 2021 Jeep Wrangler.

They were found in a shed in Carroll County with the family dog, according to WJZ.
The child's father — Christopher Geiger — was taken into custody for a medical evaluation, police said Tuesday, noting charges are pending after consulting with the Carroll County State's Attorney's Office.

Maryland State Police will host a news conference at 1 p.m. on Tuesday with an update on the case at the Westminster Barrack, 1100 Baltimore Blvd., Westminster, MD 21157.
On Monday afternoon, signs went up along highways in Maryland, and emergency notifications were sent through cell phones in Baltimore County to draw attention to the missing child.
