Owings Mills Native Drafted By WNBA
An Owings Mills athlete will play for the WNBA and reportedly hopes to bring a "spark" to her new team.
OWINGS MILLS, MD — An Owings Mills native will be playing pro basketball, after she was drafted this week by the Connecticut Sun.
Nia Clouden played for Michigan State University for four years and led the team in scoring for the past three years, according to the Detroit Free Press. In the WNBA, she reportedly hopes to improve her physicality and strength as well as "give Connecticut a spark."
Clouden was the 12th overall pick, according to the Michigan State Spartans, which reported she was the eighth Spartan to be drafted by the WNBA.
