Reisterstown Park Gets $530K Grant From State
A project in Reisterstown will get off the ground thanks to the Maryland Department of Natural Resources.

REISTERSTOWN, MD — Baltimore County was granted more than a half-million dollars for a park in Reisterstown this week.
The Maryland Board of Public Works — which includes the governor, secretary and comptroller — approved a request for acquisition of property on Woodley Avenue.
Money will go to the Maryland Department of Natural Resources for its Program Open Space and be allocate to Baltimore County for acquiring the 3.79-acre property for a town center park.

The grant for the Reisterstown park was $530,692.

A few other Baltimore County projects were given the green light for funding through Program Open Space:
- $962,330 was given to acquire 3.88 acres for a future park in the Sudbrook/Pikesville area on Bedford Road
- $641,200 was given for 0.41 acres of land on Worthington Road along the route of Six Bridges Trail
- $562,750 was given for 6.68 acres for a future park — Belle Grove Park — on Emondson Avenue
