Community Group, PTA To Discuss A/C For Carney Elementary
Fifth District Councilman David Marks will join the groups for a discussion Wednesday night.

It might be January, but the Carney Improvement Association and the Carney Elementary School PTA already have their sights set on warmer months.
The school and community groups will host a joint meeting at Carney Elementary School Wednesday night to discuss with Fifth District Councilman David Marks the possiblity of installing air conditioning at the school.
"Currently, the newer wings of the school are air conditioned and the Library, but the classrooms for several grades and the cafeteria and gymnasium are not air conditioned," wrote Carney Improvement Association president Meg O'Hare in an email.

"It is our time to speak up for the students of Carney Elementary School and work with our Councilman David Marks toward finishing the air conditioning of the school."
The meeting begins at 7 p.m. in the school's cafeteria and the public is welcome to attend.
